The Clerk is responsible for all statutory duties as defined under the Municipal Act, Election Act, and other legislation which includes the recording of all resolutions, decisions and other proceedings of Council and Committee, preparation of bylaws, and elections.
In addition, the Clerks department provides information and administration services to Council, Committees, departments and our citizens, relaying decisions or policy of Council and conveying information to facilitate the effective operations of the government.
Business and lottery licencing, canine control, sale of municipal land, land transfers, easements, and encroachments are controlled under this department.
