TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of Ramara passed amending Development Charge By-laws No.  2017.36 and 2017.37 on the 26th day of June 2017, under Section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997.

AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board under Section 14 of the Act, in respect of the Development Charges By-laws, by filing with the Clerk on or before the 7th of August, 2017, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-laws and the reasons supporting the objection.

Industrial Development Charges Waived

On June 26th 2017 Council passed a Bylaw waiving development charges on Industrial Development until 2019*. The County of Simcoe matched the Township of Ramara’s Bylaw, therefore development in the Industrial Park is only subject to School Board Development charges.  *Dates subject to change at the discretion of Council.

Funding Assistance for Wetland Projects

 Ducks Unlimited Canada logo

Ducks Unlimited Canada has a new program, called the Lake Simcoe Georgian Bay Wetland Collaborative, with funding available for landowners for wetland restoration projects through March 2017. Eligible projects include wetland restoration, livestock exclusion fencing and nesting boxes.  Ducks Unlimited Canada can cover up to 90% of the costs for these projects.
